Caron Cordes
Education & Qualifications
Prior to ABA, I served as a certified life coach, aiding clients with disordered eating and body image issues, and I have extensive experience working with both adults and children with developmental disabilities across various settings, including in-home, group homes, and residential treatment centers.
Additionally, as a parent of a child on the Autism Spectrum, I have a personal connection to the challenges and joys faced by families, enriching my professional insights and dedication to creating tailored, effective interventions based on caregiver feedback and real-world applicability.
The Best Part of My Job
The best part of my job as a BCBA is the opportunity to share the hope and transformative power that ABA therapy offers.
By understanding the “why” behind behaviors and recognizing these behaviors as expressions of needs, we can significantly enhance the lives of those we serve. This understanding not only improves the lives of our clients but also alleviates the overwhelming burden faced by caregivers, who often feel unprepared for their challenging journey.
Information truly is a powerful tool. I remember, as a new RBT, witnessing the profound impact of our work when a father of a non-verbal child learned to communicate with his son through picture cards.
The joy and relief in his tears as he began to understand his child’s needs for the first time encapsulated the profound impact of what we do. It’s moments like these that underscore the real, life-changing benefits of ABA, making every day rewarding.
What I Like Best About Working at Rogue
What I love most about working at Rogue is their innovative and inclusive approach. Rogue truly values thinking outside the box and treats each employee and client as an individual, recognizing and harnessing their unique strengths.
They create a supportive environment where it’s okay to make mistakes, ask questions, and take chances, fostering a culture of learning and growth. At Rogue, you’re encouraged to be yourself, not just to fit a mold or be “good enough.”
Rogue supports us in becoming the best we can be, understanding that well-supported employees are key to providing exceptional service to our clients. This philosophy not only drives our success but also makes every day at Rogue a fulfilling experience.
