Rogue Behavior Services Welcomes Alex Makowski as CEO

Zachary Hancock | December 8, 2025

Rogue Behavior Services is proud to announce the appointment of Alex Makowski as our new Chief Executive Officer.

Alex has been an integral part of Rogue’s journey, serving as Clinical Director and leading our therapy programs with dedication, insight, and compassion. With over 14 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), she brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a deep passion for empowering both clients and staff to reach their fullest potential.

A Leader Rooted in Experience and Heart

Alex’s career began as a behavior technician, working hands-on with individuals in schools, residential centers, day clinics, and in-home settings. This foundation shaped her deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by both clients and clinicians—and continues to guide her leadership today.

Holding a Master’s Degree in Science from Kaplan University and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential, Alex blends academic excellence with real-world compassion. Throughout her career, she has championed treatment approaches that combine science, empathy, and creativity to produce transformative results.

A Vision for Growth and Empowerment

“My work philosophy is centered on empowering others to reach their fullest potential,” Alex shares. “Whether I’m nurturing clinicians to excel in their roles or supporting clients to be happy and independent, my focus is always on fostering growth and joy.”

As CEO, Alex aims to strengthen Rogue’s mission of delivering top-quality behavioral health services while fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace for our growing team. Her leadership emphasizes innovation, accountability, and a people-first approach—ensuring that every decision aligns with our core value: changing lives through compassionate care.

Continuing the Legacy of Leadership

Rogue’s transition marks an exciting new chapter: one grounded in the strength of a BCBA-led organization. All three leaders at the helm are Board Certified Behavior Analysts, a distinction that carries tremendous trust and credibility in today’s ABA community.

Founder Zachary Hancock, BCBA, will continue to serve as Rogue’s visionary guide, focusing on strategic direction and the mission that has shaped the organization since day one.

Jesse Yarger, BCBA, will be directing his efforts toward Rogue Supports, an upcoming initiative dedicated to expanding access to family resources and deepening community engagement. He will continue to collaborate closely with the Rogue team to ensure alignment across both organizations.

Together with Alex (also a BCBA) this unified leadership team embodies a strong commitment to advancing the science, ethics, and heart of ABA therapy. Their combined experience and shared purpose continue to propel Rogue forward as a trusted, BCBA-owned organization dedicated to improving the lives of autistic individuals and their families.

Celebrating the Rogue Spirit

For Alex, what makes Rogue truly special is the culture:

Working at Rogue has been a blast. What I enjoy most is the vibrant and supportive atmosphere. It’s invigorating to be part of a team that shares similar visions and values—clinicians who are passionately committed to making a positive impact.

Her enthusiasm for teamwork and excellence reflects the same energy that has driven Rogue forward since its founding. With Alex at the helm and the continued guidance of Zachary and Jesse, Rogue is poised to expand its impact, elevate its clinical programs, and continue shaping the future of ABA therapy in Utah and beyond.

Looking Ahead

Alex’s journey from behavior technician to CEO embodies the very essence of what Rogue stands for—growth, resilience, and compassion in action. As she steps into this new chapter of leadership, we look forward to the exciting milestones ahead for our team, our clients, and the communities we serve.

Welcome, Alex Makowski—and congratulations on your new role as CEO of Rogue Behavior Services.

Together, we continue the mission: Empowering lives, one breakthrough at a time.
